The following are not eligible to be a partner in a partnership firm:

  • Minors (cannot be full partners, but can share profits).
  • Persons of unsound mind.
  • Undischarged insolvent.
  • HUF (Hindu Undivided Family) as such, though Karta can be a partner.

Companies or LLPs, unless allowed by their charter documents.
