If someone opposes your trademark, you must file a counter-statement within two months of receiving the opposition notice. If you fail to respond, your trademark application is abandoned. Both parties then submit evidence, and hearings may be held before the Trademark Registrar. If you successfully defend your case, the trademark proceeds to registration; otherwise, it gets rejected.
